The cake is a two-tiered chocolate cake covered with fondant and embellished with piped royal icing pearl beads and fondant cut-out flowers. The roses are handmade from fondant. The butterflies are made from royal icing.
Most everything on the cake is edible save for the dowels, toothpicks, stamens and flower wire used on the cake to hold things in place.
Our roses are made fresh whenever we need to use them to ensure that both the cake and the flowers are safe for consumption.
